What are we doing?

Reading Tutoring: We are currently helping 10 students enhance their reading level before the end of the school year. We desire to grow the number of students and volunteers.
During the summer we provide a camp for 9 weeks that include talks from nearby resources that can expand their view on life, physical activities, creative activities, and a meal.
We are currently managing a partnership which allows us to help with rental and utility assistance as well having our Annual Dental Fair.
The Dental Fair is a partnership with Strong Tower Church, North American Mission Board, local dentist and countless others to provide dental extractions or fillings COMPLETELY FREE!
We rely heavily on the donations of individuals, business and other non profit organizations who have a desire to see West Montgomery flourish.

Organized Since 2020

In 2020, Strong Foundation began. It started with multiple people having ideas of how the now Strong Tower Community Center could be utilized to bring resources to a central location in the Washington Park Community of Montgomery, Alabama. They had a desire to provide a community safe haven, one that offered after school care, sports and beneficial foundational resources such as homeownership information among many other things.

Since organizing, the Community Center has hosted NARAB who headed up a Home Ownership Expo, held a summer camp, chess classes, fall festivals and a provided free dental care with the help of North American Mission Board and Dentist from Maxwell Airforce Base and Tutoring for Reading.

We have a strong desire to keep these services going but will need the help of the community, local business and organizations with the same goals in mind to bring their best to promote growth in West Montgomery!
